Program created by Jonathan Miller / Music Direction by John William Trotter
We celebrate our 25th anniversary with a musical history of the city we call home. With riveting narration by WTTW’s Geoffrey Baer and vivid projections illustrating Chicago’s past, the concert includes songs of early French explorers, daring pioneers, and immigrants who shaped the city. Our singers will delve into music of the Columbian Exposition, the Great Migration, the birth of blues and gospel, our beloved skyscrapers, champion sports teams and more. Join us for a visually and musically vibrant, sometimes comical, and always fascinating portrait of our great city.
