Do you crave pleasure?  You’re not alone. Wars have been fought for substances of pleasure–spices, wine, coffee, herbs, tobacco, beer, and, of course, chocolate. Travel with us from the 13th century to our own time as we regale you with music about pleasures of the palate. We’ll serve up a heady mix of songs from the original Carmina Burana; recipes from the Renaissance; madrigals about the spice trade; torch songs about black coffee (sweet and hot); and hilarious nibbles of history to complete the banquet.
