Music in the Life of Frank Lloyd Wright - Chicago a cappella

Program creation and Music Direction by Jonathan Miller

His imagination fired by music, Frank Lloyd Wright changed modern architecture forever. Hear the music of Wright’s own life–interspersed with his own words about music. Enjoy works from his favorite composers (including Palestrina and J.S. Bach), turn-of-the-century parlor songs, Unitarian hymns, and music from his family and childhood. Chicago actor John Nygro will read from Wright’s essays on music and architecture. Slides of Wright’s buildings and plans complete our portrait of this creative master, performed in three of the area’s most visually stunning venues.
