Mezzo-Soprano
Chicago native Thereza Lituma is excited to join the Chicago a cappella roster this season!
As a classical singer, she has performed with the Grant Park Music Festival Chorus, Chicago Symphony Chorus, Music of the Baroque, New Earth Ensemble, Lyric Theatre @ Illinois, Springfield Symphony Orchestra, Ad Astra Music Festival, and Spoleto Festival USA. Her opera credits include Cherubino/Le Nozze di Figaro, Mrs. Grose/Turn of the Screw, Lucretia/The Rape of Lucretia, and Agent Dolores Reyes/The Last American Hammer. In 2023-24, she performed as the Alto Soloist in Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 alongside the University of Illinois Symphony Orchestra and Chorus. Thereza is a proud alumna of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign School of Music, where she earned multiple degrees in Voice Performance.
