Song List and Program Notes
Music has been the soundtrack for some of the most important moments in our history. Whether patriotic refrains or rabble-rousing appeals, these songs have become symbolic anthems, from the 1970’s women’s rights mantra “I Am Woman,” to the anti-war sentiments of Bob Dylan, and the new significance of traditional tunes like “Will The Circle Be Unbroken” and “Goin‘ Home.” Join us as we illuminate the connections between music and history in this exciting concert inspired by the NPR series.
